2015 Ford Focus Unveils At Barcelona Mobile Tech Stand
With the advent of digital technology that is being revolutionized at a mind-boggling pace. Sometimes it seems too quite challenging than what you’ve seen last week is now a part of extinct history. And just to clarify that though digital tech is all electronics, yet being digital means superior and futurist.
Automobile industry is at this moment in time well out of smoke chugging era. Universally speaking, now it seems that everything is getting integrated and now becoming a part of a Omni platform. It is equally challenging to imagine to any key fob sized thingy will be an integral part of daily day life. However, whatever that means…
To remain align with the digital tech gadgets, Ford Motor Company had found a new home ground to stage their products. They just don’t use big international auto shows, but if there’s any opportunity to display the their products worth of being teach savvy, Ford is there to launch its new tech-laden cars! Earlier in 2013 at GITEX Ford launched its Lincoln brand MKZ showing-off the tech loaded premium luxury brand Lincoln MKZ.
But this time around, debuting at 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Ford unveiled its most popular 2015 Ford Focus ahead of official launch at Geneva International Motor show. The 2015 model is not just a mere face-lift, but Ford took this opportunity to iron out all the rough edges and the result is smooth sleek car inside out.
“We’ve responded to a clear customer desire for more simplicity inside the car, creating a clearer visual connection between the key components and significantly reducing the number of buttons in the cabin,” Smith added. Hence it is echoed inside the cabin with fewer buttons yet more driver friendly and pleasant. The new 2015 Focus will be equipped with SYNC 2 system that will host many features with available 8 inch center screen.
Externally, the car is sleeker looking with slim headlights and rear tail-lights. More creases on the hood add muscular appearance. “The vision was to add more emotion to the design of Focus,” said Martin Smith, executive design director, Ford of Europe. “The new Focus is more toned, and more athletic, with more refined surface language; and clearly offers a promise of the drive experience to come.”
Here in Dubai, Ford released a GCC-wide annual sales report that seems to be quite healthy. As the Press Release reads “Double-digit Growth Strengthens Ford Focus Lead as Best-selling Vehicle Nameplate in the World. As Per the Polk Global Vehicle Data, the global registrations grew 16% year over year. The Middle East wise the sales grew by 11% in the region. But In the UAE, Focus saw an increment of astronomical 41% versus 2012. Good news comes in the shape of blitzkrieging Focus ST. Ford Middle East was quite delighted to report the demand for Ford Focus ST exceeded expectations and sales were strongest in the UAE followed closely by Saudi Arabia. The Focus ST accounted for nearly 10 per cent of Middle East Focus nameplate sales in 2013.
However, personally I am wishing for the 1.6l Ecoboost Focus is something that should be adorned with the Sport emblem and will add super sparks to Foci line up.
“Our success with Focus serving more and more customers around the world underscores the strength of our One Ford plan,” said Jim Farley, Ford executive vice president of global marketing, sales and service and Lincoln. “We remain absolutely committed to developing a full family of vehicles that, like Focus, offer outstanding quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and value.”
