All-New 2019 Nissan Altima launched in The Middle East
Sleek & Smart, 2019 Nissan Altima is all you need!
Nissan Middle East proudly unveiled the all-new 2019 Nissan Altima. It’s like an all-bets-on situation, where the market has seen the shift towards SUV. Trend-wise the spike in the SUV market share is just seeing high tide and the sedan segment is on a low tide. However, Nissan Altima is always been a better car to have it your garage. Still, Altima needs to be desirable to combat its own overgrown shadow, the Nissan X-Trail
In comes, the return of the and all-new 2019 Nissan Altima as 6 generation model. Nissan has done a lot of hard work in the appearance of the all-new 2019 Nissan Altima to look future -contemporary. The design is fresh, though still an evolutionary, however, taken the inspiration from the award-winning Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept, which debuted at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Gone are the wavy/ curvy organic line depicting fish or something. The new character lines are more imposing and athletic. The new dimensions of the Altima 1.1 inches lower in height, 1.0 inches longer in length and 0.9 inches wider makes sleeker and with athletic ambitions.
The exterior elements are devoid of any further add-on to make to stand-out. For example, the black plastic brows over the headlights are gone, hence the signature Daytime Running over LED projector headlights with gives a more sharper and cleaner look with large V-motion grille in dark chrome finish completes the sporty look. Another interesting element besides the addition of the Maxima like the floating roof is special deep-tinted Scarlet Ember red that changes hue with the light, and a new vibrant Sunset Drift orange with unique reflective pigment – help bring out the exterior’s sculptural details and highlights.
Altima belongs to the mid-size segment, which is actually an upgraded segment that caters to the business-class people. 2019 Nissan Altima interior offers a near-luxury feel in both design and materials. A new and improved dashboard design indicating by the lightweight, layered and more horizontal “gliding wing” instrument panel. A range of premium interior colors and trim accents are available depending on grade level.
Apart from redesigning the whole new cabin, Nissan has done a tremendous job in terms of making this car future ready. Hence a lot of inspiration has been taken from the new Nissan LEAF in embodying the vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. A new 8-inch touch-responsive with new and improved software that now allows a host of features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Coming back to the Nissan Intelligent Mobility system is a large suite of various safety features: These cutting-edge technologies have been integrated into the 2019 Altima as standard. These include Nissan’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which helps drivers to detect stationary objects when reversing. When an object is detected, the system warns the driver with visual and audible warnings. The all-new Altima also provides front, side and rear safety monitoring and intervention technologies – including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), radar-based Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and High Beam Assist (HBA).
For the 2019 Altima, Nissan has discarded the old engines. Two new engines are now introduced in the lineup and both are available in the Middle East market. A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder direct injection engine, which is now rated at 188 horsepower (versus the previous 2.5-liter’s 179 hp) and 180 lb-ft of torque (versus the previous 177 lb-ft) and features 80% new or redesigned parts is available as standard.
However, Replacing the previous-generation Altima’s 3.5-liter V6 (one of my fav cars to drive) engine is the world’s first production-ready variable compression turbo inline 4-cylinder – which generates the performance of some V6 gasoline engines but with 4-cylinder level fuel economy. Designated as the VC-Turbo, the new technology continuously transforms the engine characteristics, providing both dynamic and efficient performance. The VC-Turbo recently launched as a world’s first technology in the all-new INFINITI QX50 crossover. With the VC-Turbo, the driver balances the engine character through acceleration pedal operation alone. The engine produces a potent 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel.
The 2019 Altima will be offered in a variety of trim levels – S, SV, and SL in the 2.5L and SV and SL grades in 2.0L Turbo. 2.0L VC-Turbo will be is now available for reservations in early summer 2019.
