First Bentley Bentayga Rolls Off The Production Line
The much anticipated Bentley Bentayga rolls off the assembly line at Bentley’s iconic headquarters in Crewe, UK. Bentayga was first revealed to the public at 2012 Geneva motor show as Bentley EXP 9F from there onwards with an induction of additional 1500 crew members. 4 years of research and development and a hefty sum of £840 million pounds. Bentley motors now ready to reap the harvest, as deliveries to customers begins in early in January 2016.

Bentley says that Bentayga is the most powerful, most luxurious, most exclusive and fastest SUV in the world. The first production Bentayga finished in paint color – Anthracite – was handcrafted across 130 hours. During the assembly process, the car passed through a new body store, a new paint shop and a new assembly line, all part of this substantial investment.
The UK Prime Minister David Cameron, commented: “I am delighted that the first Bentley Bentayga has rolled off the production line in Crewe. It marks the culmination of a period of exceptionally hard work by Bentley and its dedicated workforce as they brought this remarkable new vehicle to market.
Michael Straughan, Bentley’s Member of the Board for Manufacturing, addressed the company’s 4,000-strong workforce as the car was driven from the final production stage. He said: “This is a proud moment for the entire company. It’s been four years in the making and is a celebration of a sector-defining British handcrafted car.
Bentley Debuts Bentayga First Edition – 608 Exclusively
“Bentayga is the Bentley of SUVs, with a level of attention to detail only achievable thanks to the outstanding skill of a British workforce that blends exceptional craft and skill with modern production techniques and materials.”
This edition of the Bentayga will join Bentley’s historically iconic cars such as the Bentley Blue Train, The Bentley Blower and the R Type Continental in Bentley’s heritage collection at the Crewe factory.
