Ford Middle East Massive Launch Events Marathon
It started from the Gitex 2013, which seems like base for Ford to launch its products for past six years. Why? I think that’s got to do with FoMoCo CEO Alan Mulally‘s way forward program. Gitex provides the perfect platform for Ford to show off their Tech-advance products: yes, not just cars, but at the same time the individual gadgets that makes the perfect driving tool.
These launch events where Ford uses the opportunity to present the finest and the best arsenal in its portfolio for the Middle East region. Below is the list of event-marathon what Ford has already offered and will continue, till it hit home run at Dubai Motor show 2013 commencing next week.
It’s a no brainer task to see that Ford is enjoying the profits rise. One single factor that can be attributed is Ford’s aggressive trend of launching the products globally. Moreover One Ford philosophy (Focus, Fiesta, Fusion/Mondeo and now soon to launch here in GCC, the all new mini Ford EcoSport) is leading the Ford ahead of its competitors in the game. Recently Ford Motor Company released its third quarter financial report, indicating a net pre-tax profit of $2.6 billion. These amounts to a $426 million hike, when compared to the same period last year, and marks the company’s 17th consecutive profit-making quarter. And that’s not enough, here in Dubai the Ford/Lincoln bosses enjoyed the blessings of Ramadan posting an overwhelmed retail sales during the Holy month of Ramadan.
“It’s quite a feat to achieve our best-ever retail sales during this year’s Ramadan season,” said Thierry Sabbagh, Ford Middle East’s regional Sales director. “With such overwhelming confidence from customers around the region, Ford and Lincoln brands are sure to stay on track in achieving continued growth and capturing market share, thanks to our world-class lineup featuring class-exclusive technologies and innovations you wouldn’t normally expect.”
The news release specified; Ford Explorer, a consistent favorite among customers in the region, recorded the highest increase with a total 67 per cent versus the previous year. Ford Edge was the second best-seller in the GCC and Levant markets with 41 per cent higher sales. Ford Taurus showed what it takes to be the flagship sedan with a 72 per cent uptick in sales over the same period last year.
As for Lincoln, Ford Motor Company’s luxury brand sales have grown by 25 per cent during the July-August period, reiterating the growing demand for its latest models such as the MKS full-size sedan as well as the MKX compact crossover. And with the upcoming launch of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, Lincoln promises to delight its customers as it presents the new generation of the brand, reinvented in every way, from design, to technologies and sporty performance.
“With such dynamic momentum achieved so far and our upcoming new model launches over the next few months, both the Ford and Lincoln lineups continue to grow and offer compelling models that suit every customers’ needs and budgets,” added Sabbagh. “We are well on track to achieve yet another successful year, and are eager to offer our latest models such as the all-new Ford EcoSport compact SUV and the Lincoln MKZ luxury sedan to our customers.”
