Motoring Discourse Of The Week – A Peep In The Geneva Motor Show
This year FIA has confirmed 20 F1 races around the world. Starting from Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne on 15 Mar. it will then move to, Malaysian racing circuit at Kuala lumpur on 29 Mar. While scanning the calendar’s initial dates and venue I realized it’s just dropping down to from one end of the map and trespassing across to then next end of the globe. The next racing stop would be at shanghai, China followed by Sakhir, Bahrain and then to the European leg commencing from Catalunya on 10th May. However come September it will return back to Singapore and Japan and then fly back immediately to the Sochi Russian circuit.
Why can’t be streamline just the way I thought above? I am sure there be a lot of necessary things required to prepare before staging the race, granted. I don’t wanna go ahead with this anymore. And I am sure the race drivers are now too much occupied and tired with this occupation. A whole race week in the life of a racing driver is here by dummies.com. The last race would end at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit on 29th Nov. Yes there’s stretch of tiring gap from December to March.
Just like F1 circus the International automobile shows are very important. Perhaps more than the F1 race for some car manufacturers. I’d say why not as what is there to figure out. F1 is for racing fans and motor show is for the larger daily day audience to the various industries associated with the automobile manufactures. This year, there will be at least 10 (3 already had happened) international Motor shows across the globe that marks a special event for the manufactures. The product placement, what to reveal, when and where and the most important factor: the media circus, how to reveal.
Come March, all eyes are focus on Geneva Motor Show, spans for 10 days (see the table). This one is special for the European automakers.
This week video is an OST from David Lynch’s Lost Highway” I’m Deranged performed by David Bowie in collaboration with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Here’s Driver’s Education Video for all the tail-gaters, followed by the song.
This week the stories ranging from United Arab Emirates to global happening and (funny how secret travels) the preview of the cars and teasers from some automakers at the upcoming Geneva International Motor show.
Aston Martin has released a teaser video and it displays only three things: the name, Vulcan and fire breathing power! What kinda’ machine is it, just wait and don’t eat your nails!
Audi is revealing the headlights of its new R8 as the first of a number of technology highlights of the top sports car. The R8 uses LED headlights which can be supplemented by a laser high‑beam lighting module as an option. However, when Audi will actually reveal the new R8, we’ll just have to wait for another motor show.

The track dedicated, 1000PS McLaren P1™ GTR will debut at the 85th International Geneva Motor Show in limited production form with only minor modifications to the Design Concept presented just six months ago. The most noticeable change is the livery that the Geneva show car will be sporting. It is one which will be available to the fortunate few who will be joining the McLaren P1™ GTR Driver Program that kicks off at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain later this year. The design is homage to the yellow and green McLaren F1 GTR, chassis #06R, which has claimed its own place in history as one of the five F1 GTRs that dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the historic debut by McLaren 20 years ago.

Innovative design and product planning gave birth to Nissan Qashqai and Juke, two of the biggest automotive success stories of recent years. What would happen if the company applied the same radical thinking and quality standards to one of the most important sectors in Europe: the small hatchback? To be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Sway is a glimpse at how a future generation of small Nissan models could look if the company’s striking new design language was applied to a European hatchback.
Seems like Nissan has turned it’s EV Leaf car, a guinea pig of all sorts of futuristic projects. Firs there was a collaboration with NASA, announced the formation of a five-year research and development partnership to advance autonomous vehicle systems. And now a new to leaf, infact new to automotive world, this organic paint glow-in-the-dark derived from secret formula that contains a rare natural element known as Strontium Aluminate, which is solid, odourless and chemically and biologically inert. All of these elements combined with the inventor Hamish Scott, creator of STARPATH, which is a spray-applied coating that absorbs UV energy during the day so that it glows for between eight and 10 hours when the sun goes down, Voila!
